The client connects independent agents, insureds, and a broad panel of carriers through a single technology ecosystem, spanning high-touch MGA underwriting alongside high-volume, self-service agency production. Two quite different businesses, running on one platform.
Agent onboarding, submissions, underwriting, rating, policy administration, and commissions all ran as disconnected processes, which forced teams to rekey information between the digital platform and the Agency Management System. The right workflow varied by carrier, product, risk, and distribution channel, yet every submission followed the same operational path regardless.
That left no way to separate the risks that genuinely required an underwriter from the business eligible for straight-through processing, and no consistent view of a submission from agent to bound policy.
Paktolus designed and implemented a connected operating model spanning the full lifecycle: agent onboarding, submission, eligibility and appetite, underwriting routing, multi-carrier rating, quote, bind, AMS policy creation, and commissions, all built on a common workflow and data layer.
Appointments, access, and approvals produce a persistent agent record carried through into bound policies.
Submissions routed by product, carrier, risk, authority, and underwriter specialization.
Submission entry, outstanding requirements, status, and quote selection in one place.
Rater results and direct carrier integrations normalized into one quote experience.
Eligible risks move from submission to bind without manual intervention.
Bind data creates the policy shell and links commissions to agency, producer, carrier, and policy.
reduction in submission-to-quote processing time
reduction in manual processing and duplicate data entry
increase in straight-through, self-service processing
Beyond the numbers, the change was structural. Agents now have one digital path to onboard, submit, and track business. Multiple carriers and access methods sit behind a single quote experience. And agent, policy, premium, carrier, and commission data stays linked rather than being reassembled at each step.
Running an agency book and an MGA book on one platform means two operating models sharing one set of systems. The failure mode is treating every submission the same way, which slows the business that should have been automatic and gives the complex risks no more attention than the simple ones.
Twenty minutes. A candid conversation. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so.
